The night is calling me
And the shadow raised above my head
Is broken down by the twilight
And the days are running short
I believe
As I do everything
That I can not escape
That if I wait too long
I’ll be stuck behind a wall of illusion
My mission seems too tough
Yet I push myself towards the light
And if I can hang out, touch the clouds
I just might last long enough to feel the rising sun
I’m alone. I was left behind
I can feel the static change in my heart
And she was like a butterfly
So beautiful and bold
Is it that I am getting old?
Is it just the child leaving me?
Why can’t I see?
Through a jaded mirror, my fear is resistance
And the mountains that we climb are disputable
Will they cry a thousand tears?
When we leave them behind
Won’t you help me father time?
Find a way.
